The Red Sox bats despite being very inconsistent this season has been much better on the ROAD than at home and have dominated left-handed pitching as they are a top-five batting lineup in all of baseball against lefties with a .264 BA this season! Now they get a favorable matchup here against Noah Schultz who has allowed 12 ER & 3 HRs in his last three major league starts which have resulted in the White Sox losing all three of those starts by an average of 4.3 rpg! Now, prior to his last start on July 1st.. he hasn’t pitched in the majors since May 24th. However, even in Triple-A he struggle with the Walks and HR ball. The Red Sox should get to him here and carry over their recent offensive momentum scoring 20 runs in a 3-game sweep in LA over the 4th of July weekend.
With that being said, Red Sox lefty starter Tolle is expected to bounce back here after getting shelled by the Nationals. But keep in mind the Nationals are a top-five lineup against lefties and one of the best offenses in MLB. Prior to that start, he did mow down the Yankees bats in 7 IP allowing only 1 hit and 7 strikeouts! The White Sox are currently batting .194 against lefties in their last 3 games and could struggle here against Tolle on the bounce back!
Leaving the bullpens completely out of it here and will trust Tolle to bounce back and this Red Sox batting lineup to stay hot and have a lead after the First Five Innings with solid VALUE at (+) money on the Runline!
