So far we are crushing the NFL Playoffs! Let’s look to keep up that momentum and cash in some more winners!
With that being said, the Rams are in a situation where they had to leave LA due to the fires to play this game in Glendale, Arizona at State Farm Stadium. This is a venue they are familiar with as they play here every year when they play their rivals in the Cardinals. There will be a ton of LA Rams fans at this game tonight as most of them evacuated from LA due to the fires.
This Rams team will be highly motivated to win this game for the City of LA tonight.
Breaking down this game, this will be quarterback Sam Darnold’s FIRST EVER playoff game! We saw how he looked against the Lions last week when the Vikings were fighting for the #1 seed in the NFC as they got destroyed against the Lions who are banged up on defense. They lost that game 31-9!! That was technically like a playoff game in a playoff atmosphere. How does all of a sudden this team bounce back from that ass whopping? Maybe offensively sure, but I don’t see them winning this game and here is why..
This offense, led by Sam Darnold, has to travel to Arizona to try and win a playoff game after that loss in Detroit. Remember, Sam Darnold was not expected to be the starting quarterback this season and shockingly this team took advantage of a weak schedule and won a ton of football games. However, they lost to the Lions twice and this RAMS TEAM
With that being said, the Rams have a ton of experience in the playoffs! This is a coaching staff led by Sean McVay that won a Super Bowl with Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Tyler Higbee, and others! This is a veteran team that does know how to win big games! For people to expect the Vikings with little to no experience go out to Arizona to win this game against a Rams team that has plenty of experience, fighting for their city after what’s going on in LA with the fires, would be super wild to see happen. Yes, the Vikings have a great offense, but the Rams are healthy on both sides of the ball and will know how to control T.O.P (time of possession) and win this game in the end and move on to the Divisional Round. Getting (+) money with a more veteran team with experience has a ton of VALUE and especially with who the referee is working this game as well!!
With that being said, Lead Referee John Hussey and his crew will be working this game. He is one of the most profitable lead refs in all of the NFL when it comes to the (home team) winning and covering games at (73.3%)John Hussey was 11-4 this season to the HOME TEAM! In the playoffs, Hussey is 5-2 to the HOME TEAM! In the Sean McVay era, the RAMS are 5-1 straight-up and ATS!! Remember, even though this game is being played in Arizona, the Rams are still the HOME TEAM, and with Hussey as the referee, this game aligns up well for the RAMS given his track record in these situations.
The Sean McVay & Matthew Stafford championship pedigree in a high-leverage playoff game is the difference here.
NOTE: Since 2002, QB’s making their FIRST NFL Playoff start (Sam Darnold) against QB’s with playoff experience (Matthew Stafford) have gone 20-38-1 ATS which a horrible 34% How in the hell does anyone think to play heavy on the Vikings here, especially on the ROAD!?
