It’s simple.. the CAVS at HOME are more of a push-the-pace type of games as they are now 4-1 to the OVER at HOME so far in the Playoffs!
The CAVS are down 1-2 in this series.. and they would need to play their best offense again tonight if they are going to even this series at 2-2. We literally just saw 225 points scored in Cleveland in GAME 3 as the CAVS were down 0-2 with a TOTAL set at 211.5 flying way OVER the TOTAL. Now the oddsmakers put it at 213.5 in which there is still VALUE and a cushion of 12 points to be scored to get OVER this 213.5 number from what we saw in GAME 3!
Now.. I definitely believe we see yet another high scoring affair due to the fact that if James Harden and Donavan Mitchell are expected to carry this team to another victory and cover this (-3.5) line and win yet another game at HOME (now being 5-0 at HOME in the PLAYOFFS).. it would come through their offense.. not defense! The Cavs are not a good defensive team allowing 109.8 ppg at HOME while their offense has average 119.2 ppg at HOME in the PLAYOFFS! That would equal this potential getting close 229 points based on the averages! Thats a 16 point cushion to work with here from this set TOTAL of 213.5!
Keep in mind.. the PISTONS could very well be a live-dog here as well as this line is only at (+3.5) despite not covering the (+4.5) line and losing by 7 points in GAME 3 which is interesting!
Remember, DOG/OVER is a very strong algorithm to look at IF the FAVORITE would perhaps need to play catch-up.
